Elective Division

The Elective Division is for students from age three who enjoy learning Tap, Jazz or Hip Hop one day a week. Turning Pointe classes use family-friendly music and modest dance moves to allow your child to experience these dance forms in a

God-glorifying environment. Elective Division students may participate in Christmas Praise! in December and in the End of Year Showcase.

Preschool

Preschool Ballet & Tap - Must be age 3 by 9/7 and potty trained

Preschool Ballet & Tap encourages your child to explore the creativity God has given them through freedom in movement with an introduction to ballet and tap! Class size is limited.

This class is offered twice a year for 17 week sessions

Session 1: September 7 – January 24

Session 2: January 25 – June 4

Choose your time: Tuesday 9:30-10:30am Starts 9/13

Wednesday 5:15-6:15 Starts 9/7

Cost: $50/month (4 payments), Maximum class size 10

Dress Code: Light pink leotard (skirts allowed), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tap shoes. Hair in a bun. Boys wear black stretch pants, white tee-shirt, black ballet shoes and tap shoes.

Kinder Ballet and Tap - Must be 5 by 12/1

Kinder Ballet & Tap is designed for kids to have fun! Through caring teachers and age-appropriate curriculum, your child will learn basic ballet and tap skills and explore the creativity God has given them!

Class size is limited.

This class is offered twice a year for 17 week sessions

Session 1: September 7 – January 24

Session 2: January 25 – June 4

Tuition Details

Registration and Payments

Registration:

•$15 non-refundable registration fee per student or $30 maximum per family

•First months tuition and registration fee are due upon registration

•Register online at www.turningpointedance.org

•Online registration payment may be in the form of credit card or check. Information regarding how to process

check payments is available online.

Payment Options:

•5% discount for entire year paid in full with cash or check, paid by 9/15/11.

•For full year classes: Nine payments by cash, check or credit card due on or before the 15th of each month

September through May.

•For one semester classes: Four payments by cash, check or credit card due on or before the 15th of each month

September through December and January through April.

•Payment may be made in person, by mail or over the phone.

•Payments received after the 15th will incur a $20 late fee if no prior arrangement has been made with the School

Director. There is a $20 bank fee for returned checks.

Withdrawal Fee:

•Because we contract with our teachers for a full semester, there is a withdrawal fee of one months tuition for

students withdrawing prior to the end of a registered semester.

Performance Participation Fee: (For facility rental, administrative, choreographic and rehearsal expenses.)

•$40 Elective Division students in Christmas Praise! (ticketed event)

•$40 Level II students in The Promise or Spring Show (ticketed events)

•Ensemble fees (please see Ensemble packets)

End of Year Showcase Fees:

•$25 Participation Fee for all students participating in End of Year Showcase.

(Fee includes facility rental, administrative, choreographic and rehearsal expenses).

This is a free event for an unlimited number of your guests to attend.

•$25-$40 Costume Purchase Fee based on costume & sizing. The costume is yours to keep!

Discounts:

•Family Discount: Families with more than one dancer receive a 15% discount on each dancer after the first with the

largest tuition.

•Multiple Class Discount: Students taking more than one class type per week receive the following discounts: 1st

full, 2nd-40% off, 3rd-50% off, 4th-60% off (Discounts are already applied to Training Division prices.)

•Discounts apply to 17 week and yearly classes, one discount type per family.

Scholarships:

•Boys in the Training Division receive full scholarships. Scholarship does not include participation or costuming fees.

•Scholarship for girls is based on financial need and is available in limited amounts for dancers in the Training

Division taking more than three hours of training per week. (Does not include fees.)

•Scholarship application deadline is the last day of Summer Workshop Wk 2.

Find everything you need for class at Reflections of Dance located on the north side of Holland. Reflections is aware of Turning Pointe's dress code.

Parent Observation Week

Once each semester parents may sit in the studio and watch class during Observation Week. This is a great time to come and see what your child has been learning in class!

Christmas Praise

At Christmas time Elective Division have the opportunity to perform in Christmas Praise! (participation fee). This performance is an exciting way for your child to end the year and is free to attend!

End of Year Showcase

Students in the Children's, Elective, and some students in the Training Division have the opportunity to perform in the End of Year Showcase (participation and costume fees). This performance is an exciting way for your child to end the year and is free for guests to attend! The Showcase is followed by a brief reception with lemonade & cookies. (Please note: Participation fees cover facility rental, administrative, choreographic and rehearsal expenses.
